Azure data platform engineer

As a Data Platform Engineer at Data Factory Platform team within Risk Department of NN Bank, you will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining data platform solutions on Azure cloud using tools like Azure ADLS, Azure Databricks, ADF, and Terraform. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement data-driven solutions that align with business requirements.

What you are going to do

Security and Compliance:

• Monitoring and improving the SecOps dashboards (SIEM, Incidents, TSCM, Vulnerabilities) and picking up/distributing issues within the team
• Ensure that Change Management and Incident Management processes are followed and support the team in this
• Ensuring that the ITGCs are done on time and automating them as much as possible. Improve ITGCs if there is a need for it from stakeholders

Communication with users:

• Helping users get access on the application
• Maintaining the access matrix based on defined user access management
• On-demand spinning up and down data bricks clusters for users within Risk department

Cloud Infrastructure Implementation:

• Implement security measures, access controls, and compliance requirements in the cloud environment
• Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) templates using tools like ARM templates, Terraform
• Set up monitoring and alerting for Azure resources to ensure optimal performance and availability

Who you are

You are a passionate data engineer with a strong background in Azure cloud services, and you have the right mindset to always keep learning and improving. You are a real team player with a hands-on attitude and flexibility to deal with changing priorities in a dynamic environment.

You have:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or related field
• 3+ years of experience in data engineering or related field
• Excellent automation problem-solving and analytical skills
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• Eager to learn data modeling, data warehousing, and ETL processes
• Experience with Scripting languages like Powershell, Bash or Shell
• Experience with Azure Cloud services like Identity and Access Management, Monitoring
• Nice to have: experience with Azure DevOps YAML pipelines along with Terraform or Bicep
• Nice to have: Azure certifications

Who you will work with

You will work in the Data factory platform team within the Risk domain of NN Bank.

You with your colleagues will be the bridge between NN Group-IT and domain data lakes teams within the value chain, and will work on cost saving measures and bringing in more standardization.

Your team will also work closely together with security and non-financial risk teams to ensure the infrastructure is secure and compliant to regulation. You bring more automation in this area for regular monitoring of the platform.

And finally, you will closely together with the central platform teams withing that provide generic services like CDAAS & NN Data Analytics platform.

You will be part of the data engineering guild where you can meet, learn from and collaborate with data engineers across many departments of NN-Group.
