Quant Developer - eFX Trading
ABN AMRO is looking for a Senior Software engineer to join our electronic FX Trading desk. You work within the FX Trading desk, as a developer, in close collaboration with the IT Team.
The eFX trading desk is placed within the ABN AMRO Markets division and is responsible for systematic market making of FX Spot and FX Forwards to ABN AMRO clients.
What you’ll do:
- Collaborate closely with the FX Trading team to implement research ideas and improve our trading stack
- Take the lead within the FX Trading team in terms of infrastructure, code review, unit testing, refactoring, design patterns and other IT best practices
- Implement automated pricing and trading strategies in Java
- Develop our in-house trading simulation and research framework
- Develop and maintain our data analytics framework
Who you are:
- Advanced degree in a software field, e.g. Computer Science, Physics, Mathematics etc., or equivalent experience
- Minimum 5+ years software engineering experience
- Exceptional programming skills and a genuine desire to write simple, clean and correct code
- Team player with a hands-on practical approach in solving complex problems
- Experience with low latency, multi-threaded programming environments
Nice to have:
- Experience within algorithmic (FX) trading and market microstructure is a strong plus
- Experience with (high-performance) databases and building data pipelines for real-time and historical analysis
- Experience with FIX protocol
- Experience with Microsoft Azure cloud platform

This position is a hybrid role that expects you to be present in the office (Amsterdam) for three days per week.
